HP LaserJet 6MP: looking for a new black plastic clip for one end of fuser assembly roller

O

ojasrege

I have a HP LaserJet 6MP that I need to complete service on.

I'm looking for a black plastic clip that goes on one end of the
"Roller, Fuser Delivery" part (RB1-5917-000CN). This black plastic
clip has to be removed to remove the roller, fuser-delivery, and I
broke it.

If you look on the following URL (it has instructions on how to replace

the roller)

http://jrv.oddones.org/6p/6p.html

it is the black plastic clip shown in the picture with the following
words to the right of it.

"The left end of the exit roller is held by a black plastic retainer.
The retainer has a clip that engages a groove on the shaft. Lift the
clip out of the goove, remove the retainer, push the shaft slightly to
the right, and lift the left end free."

Does anyone know if this part is orderable?

Thanks,

Ojas

I believe that the part number you have given is for a 5MP, the equivalent for
the 6MP is RB1-9181-020CN. The retaining clip appears to be not orderable from
HP.
However go to www.fixyourownprinter.com ([email protected]) and ask if
they can provide the part you need, these fusers are reconditioned by many
companies and some of them have parts like this made for them or recover them
from old fusers. So if the link I gave does not work out google for "hp fuser
parts" and see if any of the many companies there can help you.
