HP Laserjet 5 - Help!

Hi there,

i've recently upgraded my computers from a W98se to XP.
my HP LaserJet 5 worked fine on the W98 but no i'm having
trouble.

XP detects the new hardware and goes through the Wizard
as it should. However, when it comes to printing a test
page (or anything else for that matter) the document gets
queued and then nothing happens, after a couple of
minutes, I get an error message saying "Doucment failed
to print".

Thinking it could be drivers, i downloaded newer ones
from HPs website but hasnt solved the problem.

Any suggestions on how to solve this?

I am having the exact same problem with my xp
professional and laserjet 5simx. What steps did you take
to install it?

I am wondering if I did something wrong. Anyone know how
to get this working? I don't know who to call. thanks.
