I've installed an old 610C on an old P2 running Win98, as a spare, but
I'm having trouble with drivers. The official HP driver doesn't seem
to work well. Printer starts printing, stops half-way, then ejects
empty pages until exhausted. Anyone encountered this? Any
suggestions what I can do? Tks,
Austin.

Go to the printer spool in the windoze directory and delete the print
job that originally caused this misfire. It will be there forever
unless you delete it. Turning the printer on/off or upside down has no
effect.

This tends to happen when multiple tasks are attempted simultaneously,
especially so with an old computer and little memory.
