hp deskjet 5650 paper jam but not?

the feed light on my printer blinks like theirs a paper jam but theirs
not.. and when i press the button it tries to suck up a sheet of paper
but it immediately spits it back. :ress button:: ::suck&spit within 1
second:: does anybody have any clue what the problem with this crap is?
im just past my 1 year warranty. figures. any help would be
appreciated. thanks.

Have you tried unplugging it for a few minutes to see if it "resets"?

I think that the printer is US
I had the same problem with a HP3420, only just before the warranty
ran out.
After reference to HP Support I got a replacement. I ended up buying
a 3550 for less than the cost of Cartridges and gave the replacement
to my son
