hp deskjet 1600cm tcp/ip

I have an hp deskjet 1600cm and it has a port on the back that can
connect to an ethernet cable. Does this mean that I can connect it to
the internet without connecting it to my computer so that I can print
from anywhere? If so how can I configure the IP address. I also
don't have the manual for this machine.

That E-port is for printer sharing. As in someone
else on your LAN using it from their computer.

Not the "internet".
