Can anyone confirm that the new HP 5650 alloes 5 x7 and 8 x 10 borderless
prints for digital photos? Any web document source would be great.

Cheers

Scott

Yes, the DeskJet 5650 will print true (4 sided) borderless prints on 4"x6",
5"x7", 8"x10", 8.5"x11" as well as metric sizes 100mm x150mm, A6 and A4. The
following has an oblique reference - "prints with or without borders on
standard photo sizes":

You can also download the drivers from:
http://h20015.www2.hp.com/en/softwa...304445&sw_lang=en&submit.y=7&submit.x=8&cc=us
where you could check out the paper settings.

I can personally verify 4x6 and 8.5x11 borderless prints, and have checked the
driver and can verify that the sizes listed above are listed for borderless
photo printing.

I hate the way that HP comes out with a "new improved" model every couple of
months, and chops the price of one I just bought by 33%. I like their
printers, but don't think much of their marketing/pricing policies. I think
it'll be a different brand for me next time.

I do not see a smiley, so I will assume you are serious. The DeskJet 5550 has
been out for almost a year now. Like nearly everything in the electronics
business prices are falling and features are improving all the time. As a
consumer you may or may not appreciate having lower prices and more features,
but any company that does not improve its products will fade away.
