HP 2410 Photo Proof Sheet Failure

I have an HP 2410 printer and recently when i attempt to print a proof
sheet it prints the top margin HP logo, and the the photo's only.
There are none of the photo format windows or fill in the dot circles
to select what photos i want to then scan with the proofsheet and
print. I have tried the following with no success.

- Forced factory defualt setting via system menu
- Unplugged from main power supply
- Attempted to use multiple memory cards and formats

This is only a problem with the proof sheet. If I use the PC to print
photos they come out just fine. The problem is that I have folks that
use the memory reader proof sheet feature and now it is not working.
Has anyone else had this problem or know of a resolution.

Thanks very much.

It sounds like your black cartridge is empty. See the troubleshooting
steps at
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...2_USEN&product=303753&dlc=en&docname=bpu02176
and try printing a diagnostic self test page as shown at:

Bob,

Thanks it is my fault i should have said i have tried with new
cartridges with no results. Today replaced all paper, took cartridges
out and cleaned them still the same issue. Also the test pages print
correctly so i am at a loss.

OK, the only thing that comes to mind is that you are printing the proof
sheet on photo paper. The printer will not use the pigmented black ink
on photo paper. Does the same thing happen with plain paper loaded?

Bob,

Yes I have only used plain paper for printing proof sheets. I
also purchased another black ink cartridge for testig and I get the
same results with the new cartridge. Thanks much.

Well, at this point I am stumped, since the self test properly prints
black. You might try asking in the HP support forums at
