How would I plot this kind of data in a line chart?

How would I use chart wizard or whatever to plut these 5 data sets.
I'd like to do it w/ lines that are either straight or 'smoothed'
between the data points and visual accuracy. For some reason I'm
hitting a blank on figuring out how to format the data in a
spreadsheet so it can lend itself to a nice chart showing different
lines/curves.

A B C D E
0 @ 1000 0 @ 1000 0 @ 1060 0 @ 865 0 @ 1200
10 @ 1700 10 @ 1700 2 @ 1340 2 @ 1325 2 @ 1460
na na 17 @ 2400 11 @ 2400 12 @ 2200
26 @ 5000 26 @ 5000 24 @ 4800 18 @ 4200 20 @ 5000

Also I should add I'm looking for a way to make the X axis the larger
#. E.g. x-axis is (0 ... 6000) and the Y axis is (0 ... 28)

I can put the data in the spreadsheet something like this:
A B (etc)
+-----------------------
0 | 1000 1060
1 |
2 | 1340
3 |
4 |
5 |
6 |
7 |
8 |
9 |
10| 1700
11|
12|
13|
14|
15|
16|
17| 2400
18|
(etc)

But I'd like to 'connect' the dots w/o 'zeros' assumed for empty cells
and I'd like the axis transposed (see above).

thanks,

Forgot - I should have mentioned it's Excel '03 - sorry 'bout that!

OK I found the option for ignoring blank data and interpolating. That
works great.

But the direction for transposing are problematic though in theory it
sounds like it's do-able. It says: "Click the axis for the categories,
values, or series whose plotting order you want to change."

Click the axis? Where is that? On the chart? Somewhere in the cells
that contain the data?

Then is says: "On the Format menu, click Selected Axis, and then click
the Scale tab."

Again I'm STUCK - my format menu does NOT have a 'selected axis'! How
do I add this menu option to the format menu? Is this an install
option I missed?

Well it's starting to look better but I just need to somehow transpose
it
