I understand that some of the hotfixes make your computer slower -
especially 811493. I'd like to uninstall those Hotfixes I don't really
need. However, I have already erased the backup files so that the Hotfixes
no longer show up in my Uninstall Programs list in the Control Panel. Is
there still a way to uninstall those "fixes?" Thanks.........

I use Norton Anti-Virus. Is that OK?

First, you need all hotfixes. Second, that hotfix only effected people
running certain anti-virus programs. AVG anti-virus works fine. And third
that patch was revised and fixed, the slow down prob should be gone.
And to answer your question. If you deleted the uninstall files then you
can't uninstall the hotfix.

Nortons was one that was effected from what I read. I hate symantecs/nortons
bloatware and stay away from there products, so I can't confirm. Just get
all the updates from win update and you should be ok. The new patches is
supposed to fix the prob the old one had.
