how to zoom into pictures during skide show in powerpoint 2003

I am a new user of powerpoint 2003 and wish to do a picture slide show
zooming into some of the pictures at a controlled rate during the
presentation.
I can resize a picture to fit a frame, but wish to just zoom into part of a
picture
