We just had 2007 downloaded on our work computers. When I save a document as
a web page , I do not find the "view html source" choice from the view menu
and a search of the 2007 help page does not show an equivalent.

Hi MathGal,

That feature was taken out of Word after Word 2003. You can view source either by doing a web page preview (not on the ribbon, but
can be added via
Office Button=>Word Options=>Customize=>All Commands=>Web Page Preview
and viewing the source in your browser.

You can turn on Word's conversion confirmation
Office Button=>Word Options=>Advanced=>General
[x] Confirm file format conversion on open

Then use Office Button=>Open, select the web document and in the conversion choice choose 'plain text'
