how to validate data in another worksheet

Hi everyone

I would like to know if it is possible to have validation on data
stored in another worksheet. I tried to use validation in sheet1 with
data stored in sheet4 but a message existed to decline my request.

You can do this if you name the range on the other sheet. There are

Hi Debra

Thank you for your help. I did name the range and have the source of
data typed as "=sheet4!nameofrange"
However, when I went ahead then a warning message exist and stopped me
without further explanation.

Got it! I overlooked to create a name to get the data range of the
other worksheet. Now the problem is solved
