Trying to put a control on a form in Access 2007, to enable a user to print
just that one record and not the whole lot. Im sure Ive done this in 2003
using control wizard/macros? The control wizard doesnt seem to do anything
when I select it. Any help would be appreciated.

Sue,

You do have to make sure the 'wand' is active when in design. Try the
following:

Open your form in designview. Make sure the 'use control wizards' button is
orange meaning it's pressed (on). You know where to find this button right?

Know when the wizard appears choose record operations - print. This option
will create an embedded macro which will enable you to print just that one
record.

Make sure the database is saved in a directory which is trusted although in
this case that shouldn't have to be the case because the embedded macro is
meant to be used in any environment. In case you do have any VBA code entered
in your db make sure the db is in a trusted directory. To do this:

Go to the officebutton (upper left corner) and choose Access options. In the
next dialog choose trust center (left) - trustcenter center settings (right).

In the next dialog choose trusted locations - add - add the directory where
your db resides to the trusted locations. Press ok etc...

Now try again and see if it works as you would like to.
