How to Use Internal Speakers

Until now I've used external speakers without problems. Today, I had to
disconnect them, prior to a move. But I can't seem to get the internal
speaker to take over. How do I do so?

If you mean internal speaker on the modem or internal speker in the Computer
case, these dont take over, they make system command or error sounds and
modem noises, you need external speakers for sounds in themes, media player
ect.
hook them back up.

Are the external speakers connected to a sound card? I don't think any of
these have on-board speakers... However perhaps your mother board has an
AC97 sound module that may be connected to an internal speaker. In which
case you may need to enable the AC97 system in the bios and possibly also
change some windows settings to use it....

Control Panel -> Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices -> Sound and Audio
devices.

Is this a laptop? If it's not a laptop with "media speakers", all you
will get is "beep".
