How to use DHCP while conserving an additional fixed address?

A travelling laptop user would like to get it's IP using DHCP (range
10.x.y.z) while conserving an additional fixed address (range 192.168.a.b).
Of course there's only 1 NIC in the laptop.

You can have multiple fixed addresses on one NIC but you cannot have a fixed
address and a static address configuration at the same time.

The alternate IP may be an alternative if the network that the user has a
fixed address for is not running DHCP.

Thank you!

I will define a multi ip and multi network fix ip config with plenty of
routes...
