Hello,
Having a bit of trouble with a video card driver.
GeForce4 Ti 4200 AGP8x
Detonator drivers 45.23 (Aug. 13, 2003)
I am having compatibility issues in graphics-intensive games, so I would
like to roll-back to an older driver, one that is "approved" for Windows XP.
On installation of the 45.23 driver set, I got the window that says the
drivers have not been approved for Windows XP, etc. How can I do this?
I have tried installing the old drivers over the new, but the new just
stayed there and I couldn't roll back to the old.
I have uninstalled the new drivers, thinking I could install the old ones
after restart, but Windows auto-detects/installs the newer set of
drivers before I can install the old.
Is there a way to get the new ones off and keep them off? I seem to
remember something about a 'driver cache' folder that keeps copies of
drivers in case the uninformed user deletes something they shouldn't. Does
this exist? I had to make hidden files visible and system files/folders
too, but this may have been in a different Windows version. But I
digress...
Anyway, any help?
