how to UNlink a spreadsheet from an Access Database

I have created a database using data linked from an Excel Spreadsheet. I now
need to unlink the database and retain the data in the database. can this be
done?
 
Not as such. The data really is linked and is never in the Access
database file to be retained. What you have to do is to delete the
linked table and import (not link) the spreadsheet data into it.
