How to un-install NORTON suite?

I tried through Ctl. Panel, Add/Remove.

It would not remove Norton.

How can I get rid of it?

Using Windows XP, SP2, fast computer.

Go to the Symantec web site and obtain their removal tool.

While Norton's removal tool usually gets the job done, he may also want to
go to:

http://www.snapfiles.com/get/winsockxpfix.html

and download a copy of winsockxpfix just in case. I've run into one or two
cases where the removal of NIS broke the networking components in XP to the
point where internet access was impossible. This little util fixed it back
up right off the bat (though not until I had expended a fair amount of time
trying to fix it before I found this util).
