When typing in a Word document and using the tab key, Word indents entire
paragraphs, lines, and such. I don't want it to move any line other than the
one I tabed. I have gone to tools - auto correct - auto format and auto
correct and deselected every thing. It still auto moves things. This is the
most annoying feature of Word. Please tell me how to turn it off.

In Word 97 and 2000, click on Tools | Options | Edit | uncheck
the "Tabs and backspace set left indent" box | OK.

In Word 2002 and 2003, click on Tools | AutoCorrect Options |
AutoFormat As You Type | uncheck the "Set left- and first-indent
with tabs and backspaces" box | OK.
