How to turn off AA in latest CCC in 4.9 catlyst drivers?

I dun wanna leave AA ' on ' or leave it to application option I just wanna
switch it off altogether the game I am playing is HALO and video card is
9800 XT 256 mb and even with the slider all the way to performance I stil
lose frames like playing this game with voodoo2 , I had previously geforce 4
ti 4600 and it ran fine with the same reolution. however other 'games' are
fine.

My comp is 2.8 gig p4 with 2 gig ddr2700 RAM.

Set it to aplication preference in your drivers :) and turn it off in
the game, NO AA or AF then, for both open GL and Direct3d, think halo
uses directX ?

Though with that card it supposed to run slow, even on my 9600 Pro it
runs slow.

Switch it to application preference, Halo doesn't even support
Anti-Aliasing, so the only way to turn it on in the first place is to
force it through the control panel, even then, AA won't work in Halo.
Unless you have it forced on it's off.
Using the CCC if you set the main 3d thing to balanced you should be OK,
and you should be able to have everything in game cranked and play halo
fine at 1280x1024.

I'd check with the people in the halo forums at
http://gbxforums.gearboxsoftware.com. I had halo installed, then when
Windows XP SP2 came out it was totally screwed up. But I don't mean
lousy performance. When I'd start it up it was just a jumble of noise,
looked like my 9800 was destroyed, just crap all over the screen. The
bungie/halo site eventually made available a couple of patches, as this
was a widespread problem among ATI users. I got it to work for the CE
(the standalone add-on) but the original halo was still borked. So at
that point about a month ago I just gave up and uninstalled the thing,
and a lot of other people were still having problems when I did. But no
one was complaining of lousy performance, just completely whacked
unplayability.
It sounds as if you've got the game at least playable so either you got
around those issues or you haven't installed XP SP2 yet. Before SP2 and
probably using the 4.4 drivers I had halo running smooth as could be at
high resolution with everything turned on and 16x anisotropic filtering
and anti-aliasing set to app preference.
I've got Halo on the XBox too, so I can play it there if I want,
otherwise I might have stuck with fixing it.

In order for me to really look into your problem I've got to go back and
fix a problem of my own. If I decide to reinstall it and fiddle around
with getting it to work right I'll let you know. If I do, I'll start by
checking through the gearbox forum to see what the current situation is.
