How to transfer folders, contacts, etc.

I have outlook 2003 on a laptop and have just installed it on my new laptop.
How do I transfer all my emails I have kept in folders that I have created? I
did find some help on transferring contacts...add them as an attachment to an
email to my new computer, is that the best way??
