how to tranfers files from another computer

I have a quuestion if I just upgrade to a new pc how can I
transfer files from my old computer is there an easier way
than copying in a Floppy disk?
This files include mostly word and excel
 
Take the HD from the old PC and install it to the new PC.
Copy the files over to the new HD
 
Get one of those fancy little USB Key Chain Flash devices... For Word and
Excel documents they work great and there cheap... It also has a thousand
other uses afterwords!
