how to tell the 9800 and 9800 pro apart

steve

I have one that should arrive on monday...
It is a sapphire atlantis 9800 pro for $332 including shipping.
I thought this was a sweet deal...but i have been reading some things about
the company i purched from that make me want to double check to make sure i
am getting what i was prommissed...Apperently this company was passing off
9500 pros as 9700 pros...they put on the 9700 pro stickers and flashed it as
a 9700 pro....

Now how can i tell by apearences (not sticker) what i have....
I know the 9800's have a new power connecter not that flimsy on the 9700s
have...but how do i tell that i have the PRO version of the card....

Any ideas?
Steve

BTW the company i bought from is pcwonderinc.com
they are one of the first hits on pricewatch.com
here is the article i was refering to about switching cards..

Do a search on the web for a program called Powerstrip. Download it
and run it. Once it's running, it'll show up as an icon in the System
Tray. Right-click the icon and go to "Performance Profiles" and click
"Configure". If you've got a 9800 Pro, your core and memory speeds
should be 378/337 default. If you've got a non-pro, they'll be only
325/290.

Also - if your card's memory is made by Infineon, it's a non-pro. The
Pros only use Samsung memory. (Some non-pros do use Samsung memory,
however, so you can't tell by that alone. The only way to know for
sure is to check the clockspeeds.)

Hope that helps!

You can also use RivaTuner, RadClocker, or Rage3d Tweak to check your clock
speed (although I wouldn't recommend the last one, it runs crap in the
background).

wont tell me.....the ram chips is a good start..anything else
