how to system restore to computers original configuration

when we bought this computer it came with windows XP
loaded on it. We were wonderin how to do a system restore
to the original configuration of when we bought it but it
did not come with a disc and the restore point it allows
us to go to does not go back any further than a couple of
days. How can we go back to our original set-up. much
thanks to any one that can help.
