Hello, How do I switch of speach recognition feature on
XP?

There are no speech recognition functions in the regular XP (Pro or Home).
It has text-to-speech only and provides underlying support for
speech-to-text products.

For example, there are programs that include text-to-speech features that
have been designed to take advantage of the underlying support in XP. You
may find some settings in Regional and Language Options> Languages> Text
services and Input Languages> Details. However, if you are going to use
this feature, you'll also want to check directions for enabling/disabling
speech input in the related program's help file.

If you have XP Pro Tablet PC Edition, it will have speech recognition
included and ready to train. There are menu options for this in Control
Panel and in the TIP (Tablet Input Panel).
