how to summarize paragraphs

What function can I use to summarize a paper or paragraphs that are too long.
 
You can try the AutoSummarize feature of Word, but note that you are likely
to get better results if you do the summary manually.

If you are using Word 2003, the AutoSummarize command is on the Tools menu;
in Word 2007, you can add it to the QAT (Quick Access Toolbar).
