How to : SUM - IF formula

Can anybody help me out here ?

Maybe a little example to explain a bit ...
Let's say I have the following data :

°°°°°A°°°°°°°°°°B°°°°°°°°°°C°°°°°°°°°°D
1 °°Bruno______V________PMV
2 °°Jane______AMV________V_______ PMV
3 °°Bruno_______________AMV
4 °°Jane____AMV+PMEx_____V________V
5 °°Jane_____V

I now want to count the times that, with Jane in the A
column,
I have V or AMV or PMV in the whole cell or part of the
cell.

So for Jane, it would be
4 times V = 4 times 1 = 4
3 times (AMV or PMV) = 3 times 0.5 = 1.5

Thanks for your assistance !!

Why is PMV 3*0.5, could understand if 1 + 0.5?

Can there be 3 parts or more in a cell?

Do you want a totals answer (5.5), or two parts (4 & 1.5)?

V = a full day of vacation
PMV = half a day of vacation, being the afternoon
AMV = half a day vacation, being the morning

It is possible that in one cell, there is AMV+PMEx
in that case, I have to count half a day for the AMV
So more parts can be in a cell

All V (counting for 1) and AMV or PMV (counting for 0.5)
can be in one total answer

Thanks !
