How to stop unrequested dialog boxes from popping up

Running Windows XP SP2. Regardless of the program I am running, I am
constantly getting dialog boxes to pop up AS IF I had right clicked
the mouse when I really haven't right clicked.

Any suggestions how to stop that from happening?

First thing, try another mouse.
 
might check Control Panel | Mouse to insure you have not accidentally swapped right/left click buttons

if not then try another mouse.
