Hi Ze,

In Tools=>Options=>General turn on the
[x] confirm conversions at open
and when you use Insert=>File choose 'text file'
rather than HTML document.

Tks a lot Bob, that realy helped, but how can i make it to allways select the
Simple Text option? It's just that i have more than 2000 files to add and it
will take a time to select Simple Text to all of the files.

Hi Ze,

One approach would be to use a macro that you could
put on a toolbar button that would instruct Word to
treat an inserted file as text format.

There are other editors on the market, including Windows
notepad and the optional Office install feature Visual Script Editor
that are designed to open HTML files in their source
code version. Word is designed to work with HTML documents
as documents.
