how to stop SUS to download XP service pack 2

hi,

can i know how to stop the SUS to download service pack 2?
it comes in a .exe format and my firewall blocked access
to .exe files. therefore everytime when it tried to sync
with the windows update server, it will jammed up the
bandwidth and caused slowness in the internet performace.
i will also have the error message saying successful but
with errors in sus. the error id is 0x80072EE2. Server
timeout.

i don't want to open my firewall to allow this .exe file.
is there anyone can advise me?
