i am on dial up and each time i hit back/forward the page reloads. i
would rather reload myself if i need it. i can't find the switch.
please help dell 1150 inspiron, windows xp. -gary

Your info is quite grim. If you don't want to go back/forward to a previous
page, don't use the back/forward buttons. Either type in a new site or click
the Home button and start anew. If you want to go to a previous page but not
the most recent in your present web session and you use IE, click the dropdown
arrow next to the back or forward button and click on the page you want to go
to.

In the event you use Internet Explorer,

Tools > Internet Options > General > (Temporary Internet files) Settings
Check for newer versions of stored pages > Never

Then F5 whenever you'd like to refresh a Web page.

thanks dave, that is what i was looking for. now that i made the
change, it won't have to be repeated each session i assume. -gary
