How to stop opening message "Outlook previously did not close properly ... checking file"

Outlook 2007 Professional up to date
XP Pro SP2 up to date


What can be causing a periodic (occurs about 30% of the time) opening message not exactly but
essentially "Outlook previously did not close properly ... checking file."

I close Outlook using the right-top-corner "X."

Outlook then completes the send/receive and seems to close fine. But 30% of the time I get the
above message.

Any thoughts?

It could be that you'll have to run a repair on your PST but it's not hard to
do. If you do find that your PST has errors in it then post back and I'll
give you instructions for it.
