How to stop C:\winnt\system32 window popup

Does anyone know of a bug, spyware or whatever that
would make explorer open my C:\winnt\system32 window and
popup on every logon?? It happens in my own logon or as
administrator. I have scanned and swept my registry and
files but something continues to make the window open
first thing when I logon.

Thanks for any assistance.

Do you have any logon scripts applied to those accounts ( located in group
policy )

Do you have a batch / command / script that is located in your startup
folder?

Unfortunatly the answer to both questions is no. I had a
bunch of spyware get into my Registry. I went in and
deleted what I thought was all of it. I have since
purchased a spy sweeper program. But I think there is
still some kind of entry somewhere that is trying to open
or get into my directory and is now only a fragment or
part of the origianl hack. I was just wondering if others
had this problem and what the fix might be.

I got frustrated and reformated the entire drive no more
problem there. Now I have 2 old dos programs that I copied
to the hard drive and cant delete because of Sharing
violations, not my week.
