Ok, I've got several pcs on my LAN and one pc has a program installed that
one of the other pc's must access the data from. This has been working fine
up until last week. Now PC 2 can't see PC 1's program file directory.

I get can't access...you may not have presmission...etc.

How can I get pc 2 to be able to access pc 1's program files directory again?

Thanks!

Un-share and re-share Program Files on PC 1 and see if that solves the
problem.

If PC 1 has Windows XP Professional, make sure that simple file
sharing is disabled:

1. Open My Computer and click Tools | Folder Options | View.
2. Scroll to the end of the advanced settings.
3. Un-check "Use simple file sharing (recommended)".

If those suggestions don't help, share the desired folder within
Program Files, e.g. "C:\Program Files\your-program".
