How to set up short cut key of macro

When I set up a short cut key (ctrl+r) of macro at workstation A it works,
but when I do another macro at another workstation (say workstation B) with
the same short cut key (ctrl+r), and I copy the content of macro from
workstation B, then paste to workstation A; the short cut key (ctrl+r) is not
worked when I run macro at workstation A.
Please advice.

It sounds as if you cut then pasted instead of copy then pasted.

Are the workstations using a shared copy of the workbook
