Hello
I would like to limit a bandwich when people are
downloading something from my computer by NetBios
protocol. For example I would like to give them only
1MB/s not 5,5MB/s how to set up it on winxp prof ?

Windows networking is obsolete? Perhaps you meant NetBEUI rather than NetBIOS.

Arguably so. The standard protocol that gets set up in XP is now TCP/IP
- and you may have to take steps to implement 'NetBIOS on TCP/IP' in it.
Not that it relates to limiting bandwidth to a process in the context of
he question

NetBIOS runs over NETBEUI, TCP/IP, or IPX/SPX (or any other you have installed). This is how Windows networking work - how drives are shared, policies applied, remote computers administered, domains and workgroups configured and controlled. It is also how multi user software works (if using standards) like accounting programs (MYOB for instance).

NetBIOS (over TCP/IP) must be on to network. It should never be on an internet connection (though firewalls can stop it working and that why corporate networks use firewalls on the point where the network joins the internet to allow network and internet on the same connection on the clients).
