How to set "out of town" reply to incoming emails

How do I set an automatic message displaying "out of town" for my Office 2003
email account. I do not have an Exchange server, but I know it can be done.
I just cannot remember how I did it.

its done using rulres in outlook but you need to leave outlook running for
it to work. Its better to set it up on your email server if it supports
vacation messages.
