How can I send a power point presentation by e-mail. When I try to send It
always stops and says the file is too large. It is 60 slides with music. If
I can't send via e-mail what format can I use to burn to a CD. picture, data
??? I am new to power point.

hey,

The email limit isn't powerpoint's doing, it's your email client
(hotmail, gmail, etc.). Different providers have different max sizes.

Alternative methods for sending files include direct transfers over
instant message programs, ftps or webspaces (there are some free ones
available online). Or if you want to burn it to a cd, use a data cd
format and drag the powerpoint presentation file onto the cd.

First of all, you will want to see about reducing the size of your
PowerPoint file by following the advice at:

Why are my PowerPoint files so big? What can I do about it?
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00062.htm

Then, you'll want to make sure your sound files continue to play once you
move them by following the advice here:

Sounds/Movies don't play, images disappear or links break when I move or
email a presentation
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00155.htm

Finally, you can burn the file to a data CD just like you burn any other
file to CD except you want to be sure that you include all associated
files (if any), such as sound files that are not embedded in the
presentation. You might want to choose Package to CD and choose the save
to folder option and then burn the contents of that folder to CD. See
Sonia's tutorial at:

You also might want to check out the article "How do I email a
presentation" at:

Joan,
First thing to check is why your file is so big. Even with music, your 60
slide file shouldn't be so big that it can't be emailed. Check this section
of Steve Rindsberg's PPT FAQ for help:
Why are my PowerPoint files so big? What can I do about it?
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00062.htm

If none of that works, post back with more details about what is in your
presentation, how you are saving it, what version, etc.
If you want to create an autorun CD, that is quite easy to do as well. Check
out this PPT FAQ entry for information on that:
