The short answer is no, but you can open Excel files in Word if you have a
converter present - the old converter is available for download from my web
site. This will provide some measure of compatibility with Excel sheets to
allow you to view their content, but it does not produce the sheet as it
would be viewed in Excel. You need to close Word and re-open it before the
converter will work.
