how to save profiles from the old installation in order to be able to
You may use Files and Settings Transfer Wizard to save some of the user
settings (such as Taskbar / Quick Launch shortcuts and settings) and other
things. However you may not get the *exact* profile configuration in the new
installation. Also, the other third-party programs need to be reinstalled
again.
That's the reason why I prefer a drive imaging software. After installation
and customizing Windows, I take a complete drive image so that I can revert
back to the *exact* original setting whenever I want. Plus, I backup OE/IE
settings & favorites using the excellent Genie-soft Outlook Express utility.

Hello all,
I need to reinstall XP SP2 from scratch. I need to know how to save
profiles from the old installation in order to be able to restore the very
same configuration of profiles in the new installation, including Outlook
Express setup and emails.
TIA
Gillies
