how to save all codecs installed in WMP 9?

I have to restore my desktop computer due to some computer problems, but I
have installed numerous codecs for audio and videos over the years for the
different video formats that I have. On my desktop, I have Windows Media
Play 9. My laptop has Windows Media Play 10. The videos will play in WMP 9
due to the codecs that I have installed over the years, but it will not play
on the WMP 10. I don't remember the websites of those different codecs and
WMP 10 is not automatically downloading them.

Is there a way that I can copy or save the codecs installed on my computer
in WMP 9 and copy them to my laptop in WMP 10? If so, where should I look to
save those codecs?

Thanks!

Just Googled this link. But haven't tested the solution yet.

Welcome to FOURCC.org - How do I manually transfer codecs between PCs?:

This process makes a couple of assumptions and may not work in all cases. It does, however, work often enough to be worth mentioning here. This is, however, intended as a last resort measure to be used in cases where you can't find an original software package to download or buy that includes the required codec. Note that this procedule may infringe upon the license agreements for some codecs so make sure you are allowed to make copies before you do this!
