How to run a macro?

I am new to outlook macro. I am not able to create and run even a simple macro.
Can some one let me know the exact steps.

I could go to visual basic editor and type in a simple macro without an
error. What's next?
 
Put the cursor inside the macro, then press F5. If that doesn't work, check
your macro security settings in the main Outlook window with Tools | Macro |
Security.
