How to revert to Non-Exchange Server Profile

I upgraded to Outlook 2003. When I launched Outlook for the first time, the
wizard ran and suggested I use Exchange Server. So I selected the Yes
checkbox.

Now I get the error message,
Task 'main - Sending' reported error (0x8004010F) : 'The operation
failed. An object could not be found.'
Task 'main - Receiving' reported error (0x8004010F) : 'The operation
failed. An object could not be found.'

But when I follow instructions to fix this, it all depends on having an
exchange server email account which I don't have.

How do I use my old .pst file and process all of my many email accounts
without setting them all up again, one-by-one?

Open Control Panel and run the Mail applet. Remove the Exchange account
from the mail profile and add in the POP account and PST.

Brian, I can do as you suggest by removing the Default Profile and creating a
New Profile using POP. But then my question is, How do I import ALL my email
accounts so I don't have to enter them one-at-a-time? The .pst import only
copies the folders, not the email accounts.

Mail accounts aren't kept in a file, so there's no good way to export or
import them. If you have Office's Save My Settings Wizard that may do the
job. Conceivably you could also export the keys in the registry that
contain the account information, edit the .reg file to match the new mail
profile, and import the changes into the registry. Personally, I think it's
easier simply to recreate the accounts manually.
