How to retrieve email from a "particular" folder

Hi All,
In my inbox I have subfolders for example

Outlook --> Inbox --> myEmails

What I am looking for is a way to retrieve all emails that are in the folder
myEmails.

Please be advised this is not the same as "searching within myEmails".
using outlook search I can do something like
"From:[email protected]" and it will pull up all the email where the
From address is the specified in the "query"
I want to do a similar query where I can say "get me all email which are in
the folder "myEmails". This query is useful when email is archived and we
want to pull out any email that we know existed in a particular folder.

Yes I have. I also have windows desktop search installed with my email indexed.

Depending on OL version you can select the folder you want to search.
I use Coppernic DTS and a email search in that shows which folder, archive
or otherwise, any mail that meets the criteria is stored in

But then I might be missunderstanding

I can search within a folder any time by selection it but if I have five
archived myEmail folders then what I want to be able to do is say something
like "bring me all emails that are in the folder myEmail regardless"

I have 6 Personal Folders open in OL
Coppernic searches all and Identifies both pst & folder in the result
Coppernic runs as a seperate app, ie not from within OL

Um, what's wrong with simply opening the folder "myEmails"? It seems to me
that certainly will show you all the mail in the folder, which is what you
say you want.

I see what you mean, thanks for the help. Lets see if I can get Outlook +
Windows Desktop Search to do this for me without copernic *smile*

You are correct but it's a pain to individually go to the dozen or so email
folders myEmails in the archives. Second I have to do that individually for
each folder. However if the "query" returned all emails from a folder called
"myEmails" then the result set includes everything regardless. Hope this
helps with the explanation *smile*

You never mentioned in the original post that you had multiple PSTs with
multiple versions iof the "myEmails" folder in them. You said exactly: "In

archived", but that wasn't your original question. DL, apparently,
underestood what you were trying to ask but didn't. I was trying to answer
the question you did ask.

Many people use WDS or Google Desktop Search, or Copernic Desktop Search
(http://www.copernic.com/en/products/desktop-search/), which is free for
home use.

If possible I would like to stick to using WDS. Do you know how I can query
for emails in a particular email folder?

I dont believe either WDS or Coppernic or google will produce a result based
simply on a folder name. They will all search for specific text only

I'l go along with DL here. While it might be possible for some desktop
search program to be able to do it, folders in Outlook don't really exist.
The PST is a database and the folder names are just keys on the records that
Outlook presents to you in a visual form. A folder name is like a primary
key in an indexed file. I'l not sure how an external program would be able
to find it properly.

Maybe an alternative;
If you have many pst's containing this specific folder, with not the same
msgs, create a new pst, move all data from the specific folder to this pst.
Amend your archive settings on the specific folder in your default pst to
point to this pst.
You can now search this specific folder to your hearts content

archived PST's with more than three dozen folders... you can see how this is
quickly becoming a real pain *smile*

Motivation for my question
As we conduct most of our business through email I have a lot of rules setup
for filtering incoming email. The problem stems from the fact that every 14
days I reach the limit allowed by the administrator for sending receiving
emails so I have to archive. However I need access to emails that might have
been sent 6 months ago.

Apologies, I should have done some more research. The answer was right in
front of me and I missed it. Thank you both for your suggestions and time
*smile*

Solution:
Using WDS you can type "folder: <folder from which we want all emails>"
without the quotes and it will pull up everything in the folder. Reference
document --> Properties for file type: All --> Folder
