how to restore windows/system32/system32.exe

I had the windows/system32/system32.exe infected by virus
and was forced to removed. The system works without it but
I observed strange delays. The Win2000 is at SP4 level.
How to restore windows/system32/system32.exe or repair the
system?
 
You should probably scan the system again and also look for worms and
trojans. The system32.exe file was part of the virus and you likely
still have nasty things still on the computer.
