how to restore orig. doc. replaced by another?

In trying to save a document (save as) I named it the same as another by
mistake. Now that doc. has been replaced. Any way to recover the orig. doc.?

Only if you made a regular backup, or if the "Always save a backup copy"
option was checked in the Options dialog. See
