My Windows does not completely boot, I need to restore to
an earlier date, but how do I do this? Do I have to hit a
key (which one) when I turn on the computer? I can do
nothing in windows at all I get my wallpaper and no icons
or toolbar.

Thank you

Chad:
I just had the same problem last night, it would freeze at my desktop
with no icons. Hit Ctrl,Alt,Delete and your task manager should come up. If
it does and there is nothing running in your Applications tab, click on the
New Task button and browse to System Restore (C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore) in that
order double click on each and then click OK. That should run System Restore
for you. If that doesn't do it maybe someone else will have a suggestion for
you. Good Luck

Chad - if you are running Windows XP, go to Start/Help
and Support/Undo Changes to your computer with System
Restore. Click on green arrow and when it opens, Click
on restore my computer to an earlier time. Then look
for a date listed as a restore point and select it.

Your computer will restore to the earlier date, reboot
and you should be back in business. You should also
learn how to create a restore point. It's as good idea
to create a Restore Point before adding any new programs,
etc. so you can go back to a safe point if there is any
confilict created by the changes you are making.

Hope this helps - John
