HOW TO RESTORE AN OUTLOOK DISTRIBUTION LIST

okay, I have been following Brians instructions to others, have found the
deleted DL, but cannot restore it by dragging it to the contracts which is
between the calendar and tasks. Am I missing something?

Those are navigation buttons, not folders. Use a view that displays your
Contacts Folder.
