How to rename a user?

KKramsch

The person who set up my win2k workstation entered Kramsch as my
username, whereas every other computer account that I have is
kramsch. For reasons too longwinded to go into, it is a big pain
in the neck that my win2k username is slightly different from my
user name in so many other systems.

How can I change my win2k username from Kramsch to kramsch? I
imagine that the only way to do this will be to delete my old user
name and create a new one. The question is how to do this, so that
I can re-create my working environment, with all my applications,
settings, etc.

Thanks!

Usernames are not case sensitive so when you get the Log in box simply
type in Kramsch as the username

Kramsch & kramsch will both be accepted.

Passwords however ARE case sensitive

Please ignore the case issue. It is a red herring. The problem
has ramifications that go far beyond logging in; it is just too
involved to get into here. The fact is that parts of the system
still deliver "Kramsch" as my username, and not "kramsch", and this
is causing me problems. I really need to change my user name.
How can I do it?

Thanks!

Use the
"Active Directory Users & Computers" snap in on the server
goto Users
find your name
double click to ope the details
select the account tab
and edit the name there?
