Hi,
I assume you did uninstall Vista but you still have Dual Boot up Options
still left behind.
Right Click my Computer and select Properties from the drop down list, on
the System Properties window click on Advanced Tab.
On Advanced Tab click on Settings under * Startup and Recovery* Button.
On the startup and Recovery Window click on the Edit Button under the option;
System startup and there delete the line for Vista ( be careful to chose the
right one).
If all goes well and you will not be presented with dual boot option, the
success.
If you still get it then do the following;
Open Run Command and type; msconfig press OK.
On the Configuration Utility click BooT.INI and clcik on *Check All Boot
Paths* and delete the line for Vista from there.
HTH.
PPlease let us know your outcome.

Hi,

Vista overwrites the XP bootloader in favor of its own. To return to the XP
bootloader, boot the system with the WinXP CD and press 'r' when prompted to
enter the Recovery Console. Logon to the installation with the admin
password, then from the prompt run fixmbr followed by fixboot.

Restart your System with XP CD inserted in the CD-ROM,start Recovery
Console.Run Fixboot ,run fixmbr and reset the MBR.Exit and reboot.

Vista questions should be posted to the Vista newsgroups.

Another possibility if you have the Vista install CD is to insert the Vista
CD into your DVD drive. Then at the command prompt type

e:\boot\bootsect /nt52 c:

This is assuming your DVD player is drive 'e' and the system drive is on the
'c' drive.

One thing I failed to mention is the bootsect command can be done within the
Windows XP desktop environment.
